Since his chance discovery of ancient Ayurvedic texts in Kerala, India, Kama Ayurveda founder Vivek Sahni has been on a journey to bring the wisdom of this ancient healing practice back into the light. Our massages are built around a deep understanding of the marma points – which, in Ayurveda, are believed to be the intersection of the physical, the mental and the spiritual. All 107 of these energy centres are essential to overall health and wellbeing, and each has a specific function, ranging from digestion and blood circulation to sleep and immunity. Massaging these points helps stimulate energetic pathways and restore balance and wellbeing.

The Legendary Glow Facial
Respecting traditional Ayurvedic techniques, the signature ​radiance facial from Kama Ayurveda visibly revives and dramatically reinvigorates the skin’s natural propensity to glow with health. ​Using a combination of original herbal blends and massage techniques, ​the treatment has three variations, dependent on your skin type. ​And there are 56 precise movements that stimulate the marma ​points to revive blood circulation and stimulate purification. ​The result is a rested, radiant glow.

Sculpting & Firming Facial
A treatment designed to deliver radiant and relaxed skin, this facial – inspired by time-honoured Ayurvedic massage techniques – stimulates blood flow and lymphatic drainage to refine and sculpt the skin. An exclusive blend of youth-boosting Vayasthapana herbs is used to awaken the skin’s luminosity, delivering a youthful glow. The face is gently sculpted using the Kansa wand, a traditional tool crafted from sacred copper and tin, for a radiant and defined complexion with puffiness and inflammation visibly reduced. The Legendary Body Massage

Kansa Bowl Foot Massage
What makes this massage unusual is the small metal bowl used, in conjunction with massage oil, to manipulate the foot. This increases pressure when used alongside regular kneading, deep effleurage and specific Kansu massage techniques. The bowl itself also has unique properties – it’s made from copper, zinc, silver, tin and bronze, each metal offering a specific healing benefit. The oil combines with the metallic bowl and helps rebalance the {agni}, the life force or fire element. This massage is concentrated on foot marmas and reflexology points. Afterwards, your whole body will be imbued with a sense of release, relaxation and wellbeing.

Body Firming Massage
Available exclusively at Harrods, the Body Firming Massage is designed to lift and sculpt by stimulating lymphatic drainage through a sequence of upward and circular movements inspired by Ayurvedic massage techniques. Powered by Kama Ayurveda’s Sugandhadi Oil and Sugandhadi Cream, it will leave your skin feeling firm, nourished and smooth.

Please note that part of this treatment focuses heavily on the abdomen area. It is therefore not suitable for those that are pregnant and/or experiencing pain or sensitivity of the abdomen.
